But I'm going to force myself to rewrite the first chapter of "A Stolen Winter" (ASW) today anyways. I tried to read it last night and I just couldn't do. It's a horribly written chapter, especially when Calla thinks about her siblings and compares herself to them in appearance and temperament. People do not do that randomly. I know I don't randomly start comparing myself to Krissy. I didn't even get to the kidnapping part but I'm sure it's horrible too.
The only positive thing is I have some great ideas to make it better. I'll just cut the whole description of Cormac and Delia entirely. I'm pretty sure Wesley describes Delia when he first sees her anyways. For the kidnapping part I plan for Morgan to not say anything and Calla to only hear things such as footsteps when she runs. I think it would be creepier. I'm also planning to add more details when she’s talking to Fred.
Now I'm starting to feel excited, but I know that won't last long.
Last night I read IHB's first chapter too and it wasn't much better. I didn't read my other two books' but I don't think they'll be as bad. "The Forsaken" is a sequel so I wouldn't have tried to describe characters' appearances as much and in "Lies of Perfection" Mercy is too busy trying to steal from Target to think about appearances and trivial things like that.
Yes, my main character in LoP is a thief...

Outline Finished
Today, I finished writing my outline. This is the first time I have actually completed an outline. Usually I just finish half of it and it usually works. Now that the outline is done I don't know what I should do before NaNoWriMo starts. I thought about doing city description but the only important "city" my characters go to is Moivia City and that's at the end of the novel. Moivia City will be much more important in the third book.
Maybe I'll do another outline. I do have a few ideas for other stories.

Rachel and the Never Ending Outline
I'm still working on my outline as you probably assumed from the title. It has been going well but the outline is getting very large. I am on chapter forty-three in the outline and I probably have at least twenty more chapters to outline. ASW was is only forty-eight chapters long so the sequel is going to be much longer. I doubt I'll be able to finish FoW before the end of November, but at least I won't have any problem reaching 50K.

The Search for the Perfect Title
I've been trying to come up with a title for my 2010 NaNo novel, but none of them seem to be right. My 2009 was one called "A Stolen Winter" and part of me wants to have Winter in all three of the titles of the first three books (but maybe not the fourth and definitely not the prequel), but everything I come up with isn't that good. I can come up with titles I like that don't have Winter in them so I'm thinking of abandoning my little theme.
Here are some titles I'm thinking of:
Lies of Winter's Life
Winter's Lies
Lies They Told
Winter's Escape
Sky is Over
The Sky is Falling
Darkest Before the Dawn
Conquering Fear
Winter's Fears
Winter Lies
Winter's Darkest Fears
Which one is the least bad? And do you think the having the word "Winter" in the title is too cheesy. Three of the main characters have the last name Winter.
EDIT: Came up with the title. It's going to be "Fears of Winter"

So Far, yet so close.
NaNoWriMo is getting closer every minute. Sometimes, it seems so far away and other times it seems too close. It would just seem far away but I still have finished my AugustNoWriMo. I'm hoping that will be done before the end next Sunday. It would be nice to just be able to concentrate on planning for my NaNoWriMo novel and not worry about finishing LoP as much as I like it.
